  • Smokers Are at Greater Risk of Death, MI After PCI With DES: DECADE Analysis

    Patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation who are smokers at baseline are at greater risk of death, myocardial infarction (MI) and stent thrombosis (ST) compared with non-smokers, but are at lower risk of repeat revascularization, a long-term pooled analysis shows.
